The Giza Club believes that by seeing the video of your work, and the work of those classic dancers before us, that our craft is preserved, teachers are identified, and our art is forever with us. The 2004 Academy Awards of Middle Eastern Dance Videos was presented December 5, 2004. This juried annual event honored the dancers and videographers who preserve and record the dance.

Documenting and sharing our dance gives others an opportunity to learn and improve upon their craft. We know that we dancers, in addition to using videos for entertainment, also use video as a tool for learning and improving our art.

The winners of the 2004 Academy Awards of Middle Eastern Dance Videos are honored for their contributions in the world of Middle Eastern Dance. The GAMAL Dance Award Festival was held December 5 in San Francisco.
